The PSP-05 offers protection against high voltage surges such as nearby lightning strikes. UL grounding requirements for coaxial cable are for protection against hazardous voltages that may occur to the shielding. Because of the physical lengths of ground wires, UL grounding systems may appear as an open circuit to lightning providing no protection from the surge getting into your home or business and destroying sensitive equipment.
